A government organisation is seeking an experienced Senior ICT Project Officer to support the planning, coordination and delivery of complex ICT initiatives. This role plays a key part in supporting large‑scale reform programs, working closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and in line with government frameworks and standards.

You will be responsible for providing end‑to‑end project coordination support, governance reporting, vendor oversight and stakeholder engagement across multiple workstreams.


Your new role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating ICT project activities to support the development, implementation and delivery of projects

  • Managing vendor relationships, including contract verification, performance oversight and negotiation of existing terms

  • Tracking vendor deliverables and ensuring compliance with ICT, cyber, privacy, procurement and policy standards

  • Supporting ICT project governance, including documentation, reporting, RAID logs and framework alignment

  • Monitoring and reporting on project milestones, risks, issues, financials and deliverables

  • Facilitating cross‑functional working groups across IT delivery, policy, cyber, finance and vendors

  • Contributing to digital assurance, cybersecurity, AI, privacy and architectural review initiatives

  • Preparing high‑quality briefs, reports and written advice for senior and government stakeholders


What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in ICT project coordination or project management within complex environments

  • Strong knowledge of project governance, reporting and delivery methodologies

  • Experience managing vendors, contracts and ICT deliverables

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and interconnected projects simultaneously

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing executive‑level documentation

  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate outcomes

    Experience working within government or regulated environments will be highly regarded.
