Your new role
As the Project Construction Engineer, you’ll take ownership of the end‑to‑end delivery of road and drainage construction and maintenance projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
Planning, estimating and coordinating the annual construction and maintenance program
Providing technical input into designs and advising on project requirements
Managing subcontractors, resources, budgets and schedules
Overseeing compliance with project management frameworks, safety standards and sustainability objectives
Liaising with stakeholders, including utility services and emergency organisations
Maintaining work programs, progress reporting and quality assurance practices
Coordinating daily activities with supervisors, suppliers, and contractors
This role is essential to ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard, while continuously seeking ways to improve delivery methods and drive innovation.
What you'll need to succeed
A Diploma in Civil Engineering with 5–10 years’ relevant experience
Strong skills in project scheduling, estimating and costing
Experience in coordinating road construction and drainage works
Strong understanding of civil construction quality management
Experience liaising with utility service providers and overseeing traffic management requirements
High competency in Microsoft Office and project management systems
Advanced Worksite Traffic Management accreditation
