Your new role
We are currently seeking experienced Production Loader Operators to commence asap to complete the current dry season operations.
As a Production Loader Operator, you will play a critical role in the mining process, operating large-scale loaders such as CAT 992 and 998 to efficiently load haul trucks as part of daily production activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operating large production loaders to load ore into haul trucks in line with production targets
- Maintaining consistent cycle times to optimise fleet efficiency
- Conducting pre-start checks and basic equipment care
- Working closely with supervisors and other operators to ensure smooth pit operations
- Maintaining strict adherence to site safety procedures and environmental standards
This position runs on a 2/2 roster (two weeks on, two weeks off) with 12-hour shifts across day and night rotations, continuing through to December 2026. All meals, accommodation, and flights from Cairns, Townsville or Brisbane are provided.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Proven experience operating large production loaders (CAT 992/998 preferred) in a mining environment
- A minimum of 2 years’ production mining experience (highly regarded)
- Relevant RII competencies/tickets
- A current Open Driver’s Licence
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork in a high-production environment
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and police check
- Availability to commit for the duration of the mining season
