Your new role
As a Procurement Specialist, you’ll play a key role in delivering compliant end-to-end procurement and contract administration services aligned with Commonwealth policies. You’ll be instrumental in shaping procurement strategies and ensuring compliance across high-priority initiatives. Working as part of a high-performing team, your responsibilities will include:
Lead full lifecycle procurement: planning, advising, and executing procurement activities
Develop market and procurement documentation in consultation with stakeholders
Secure business approvals and ensure contracts are fit for purpose
Manage contract changes and compliance
Provide commercial and procurement advice to internal teams
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, internal teams, and external stakeholders
Identify procurement issues and recommend improvements
What you'll need to succeed
3–8 years’ experience in procurement, ideally within government or defence
NV1 security clearance (mandatory)
Experience with ASDEFCON or ICTPA panel (highly desirable)
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Qualifications in Business, Law, Commerce, or relevant Cert IV/Diploma (preferred)
Exposure to Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and/or ITAR (desirable)
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
