Procurement Manager

One of our state government clients is looking for a procurement manager on a fixed-term basis.

Your new role

As a Procurement Manager, you will:
  • Lead the development, implementation, and agreements for a diverse range of services.
  • Understand business needs to determine procurement planning and sourcing decisions.
  • Engage with suppliers to negotiate and deliver value-for-money procurement outcomes.
  • Manage contract performance and provide expert advice to senior managers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Lead RFI/RFP processes and draft related documentation.
  • Exercise independent judgment and advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Perform any other duties within the scope of the role as directed by your leader.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Solid supplier engagement experience.
  • Experience in managing, monitoring, and reporting on contract performance.
  • Ability to provide expert advice to influence strategic plans and decision-making.
  • Strong relationship management skills to develop and maintain networks with key stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in leading RFI/RFP processes and drafting related documentation.
  • Independent judgment and advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Desirable: Legal contract review experience.
