Well-known local government organisation seeking a Procurement Business Partner on an 18-month fixed-term contract

Your new role

In this role, you will facilitate end-to-end procurement processes, offering guidance on tenders, quotations, exemptions, and contract management. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement activities are efficient, compliant, and deliver value for money.

• Lead and advise on end-to-end procurement processes including tenders and quotations.
• Provide data-driven insights and reporting to support purchasing decisions.
• Deliver training and support to internal teams on procurement best practices.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with governance and probity standards throughout procurement activities.
• Collaborate with contract administration teams to manage vendor performance and contract lifecycle.

What you'll need to succeed

• Tertiary qualifications in procurement or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Proven experience managing tenders and contracts, within public sector is desirable

• Strong stakeholder engagement and advisory skills.

• Understanding of procurement policies and risk management.

• Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
