Principal Project Manager contract with QLD State Gov

Your new company

This branch of government department client collects, analyses and reports performance information for early childhood and school education. It delivers performance, business intelligence, monitoring, measurement and reporting products and services to support the department and Queensland Government priorities.

Your new role

Our client requires require a highly skilled Project Manager with excellent stakeholder engagement skills, an appreciation for the power of trusted information in supporting evidence-informed decision-making and strategic planning, and a drive for embracing the new and taking others on the journey.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of a high-profile multi-year program that will transform the department’s approach to valuing and managing its information assets, helping enable the next generation of data analytics to ensure better and more equitable learning outcomes
  • Manage change management–rich projects over their full lifecycle, including project planning, stakeholder management and scope delivery within agreed periods.

  • Apply leaned project methodology elements and disciplines to a dynamic program, in a heavily governed environment.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience operating within large and complex ICT programs of work with a strong business transformation component
  • Strong stakeholder management and engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate with business staff to help move the assigned deliverables forward
  • Experience in M365 tool set, including MS Teams and SharePoint
  • Experience with the use of Microsoft Project and RAID registers in a complex governance environment
  • Understanding of data governance frameworks and data management principles, including technologies and processes, would be highly regarded
