Your new role
Staff/ Principal Embedded Linux Engineer owning the build, integration, and delivery ecosystem across multiple hardware platforms.
Highly hands-on role driving Yocto-based build systems, CI/CD architecture, and developer tooling. Focus on improving build reliability, accelerating feedback loops, and automating deployments across containerised and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) environments. Strong influence across engineering teams, working closely with software, firmware, hardware, and QA.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Deep, hands-on expertise with the Yocto Project (this is essential)
- Strong embedded Linux background across build, integration, and release
- CI/CD experience (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
- Advanced Python for automation and tooling
- C/C++ on Linux (Go a bonus)
- Experience with Docker and modern DevOps practices
- Understanding of cross-compilation, device trees, embedded deployment
- Exposure to HIL environments and complex hardware systems
- Ability to lead technically and define best practice
