Your new role

As a Principal Primary Engineer, you will take on both technical and supervisory duties, ensuring the creation of high-quality designs for primary high-voltage (HV) systems. Working closely with Engineers and Designers across the business, you will leverage your expertise in primary engineering to develop effective HV system designs.

• Support engineering tasks, technical analysis, and report preparation
• Aid with the commissioning of high-voltage (HV) systems
• Contribute to the design, specification, and documentation
• Participate in substation primary design, including specification and documentation
• Keep team members updated on relevant developments affecting their work
• Offer technical guidance and engineering expertise to Project Managers as needed
• Establish and maintain strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders

What you'll need to succeed

• A degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related field
• Experience with substations and power systems
• Proven experience in a comparable role within the renewable energy or utilities sector
• Specialised knowledge in substation design and utility grid connections
• Comprehensive understanding of Australian industry standards
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities
