Your new role
As an APS6 Analyst – Pricing, you will contribute to the development of pricing frameworks and deliver analytical insights to support policy and funding decisions. You will operate in a fast-paced environment, supporting senior stakeholders through robust economic and policy analysis.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support the development of pricing approaches and funding frameworks
- Conduct economic, financial and data analysis to inform pricing policy advice
- Prepare high-quality briefings, reports and presentations for senior executives
- Review existing pricing methodologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Engage with stakeholders to gather insights and inform policy development
- Contribute to the delivery of strategic policy advice aligned with government priorities
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience in pricing regulation, funding policy, or economic analysis within a government environment
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights
- Ability to deliver clear, concise advice to senior executive audiences
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes
- Effective stakeholder engagement skills and collaborative approach
- Understanding of government processes and policy development frameworks
- Tertiary qualifications in economics, econometrics or public policy (desirable)
