The clients ICT Portfolio plays a critical role in enabling sustainable, customer‑focused solutions through disciplined governance, strong delivery capability and collaborative partnerships across the organisation.
Your new role
As Portfolio Delivery Manager, you will be accountable for the planning, prioritisation and delivery of a portfolio of ICT initiatives, ensuring outcomes are achieved within agreed scope, budget and timeframes. You will provide clear oversight of portfolio performance, manage interdependencies, and ensure solutions are sustainable and responsive to customer and business needs.
This is a 2‑year contract role (commencing 30 March 2026), working full‑time (38–40 hours per week)
Key responsibilities include:
Leading portfolio planning, sequencing and prioritisation to support the clients ICT Program of Work
Providing transparency of portfolio performance using Project Online, including reporting and dashboards for senior stakeholders
Ensuring projects comply with governance, contractual obligations and PM2 standards
Representing projects at ICT assurance forums such as AAB, RMG, CAB and Procurement Boards
Acting as an escalation point for portfolio‑level risks, issues and dependencies
Managing competing priorities and driving delivery efficiencies across portfolios
Directly managing and holding Project Managers accountable for delivery outcomes
Working closely with ISB and ICT delivery teams to support successful execution
Supporting effective resource planning and business readiness, including UAT participation
Mentoring delivery teams and embedding performance excellence and continuous improvement
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will be a confident people leader with strong portfolio governance and delivery experience in a complex, enterprise environment.
You will bring:
Proven experience managing ICT portfolios or large programs with multiple workstreams
Strong understanding of project and portfolio governance, assurance and reporting
Experience leading and mentoring Project Managers and delivery teams
The ability to manage risk, issues, interdependencies and competing priorities
Strong stakeholder engagement skills across business, technology and executive audiences
Experience working within structured methodologies and enterprise tools (e.g. EPM systems)
A values‑based leadership style aligned to performance excellence and customer outcomes
The ability to balance delivery accountability with collaboration and capability uplift
A Criminal History Check is required for this role.
