Our client is a government agency based in Brisbane that provides a multitude of services for building and maintaining government-owned assets, specifically social housing projects. Due to an increase in workload, they are looking to add a Senior Architect to their team to assist with their various and ongoing capital works projects.

Your new role

As the Senior Architect, you will actively be involved for preparation of feasibility options, PD drawings, SD drawings, and consultancy design reviews on behalf of the department. You will provide provision of responses to RFIs, as well as liaise with other members of the social housing architecture team and project managers to ensure successful project delivery.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate an understanding of architectural construction, knowledge of materials as well as detailing methods. Therefore, you will ideally come from an architecture/design background with a relevant discipline in these fields. You will also have an understanding of legislative and regulatory frameworks and government policies applicable to government building and architecture projects in Queensland. Given this role includes architectural documentation, previous experience using Revit and AutoCAD for conceptual drafting is required.

What you'll get in return

You will be offered an immediate start in an initial 3-month contracted/casual role with a state government agency with the possibility of an extension. You will be offered a full-time temporary position paying an PO4/1 rate + super, with offices located in Brisbane CBD.
