A large State Government department, with multiple offices across the Perth metro area. You will be located at one of their CBD offices, just a 10–15-minute walk from Perth Underground train station.
Your new role
- Provide engineering support and advice on traffic management, network operations planning and road safety matters related to policy work.
- Investigate and gather literature related to traffic management guides and network operations planning and assist with development of solutions for further consideration and assessment by a range of internal and external stakeholders, related to policy work.
- Provide technical support and project management for the development and review of policies and guidelines (new and existing) related to Road Network Operations (includes all road users).
- Collate and manage data to identify gaps in policies and guidelines for network operations to recommend updates and development of policies and guidelines for traffic management such as transport modes and mobility.
- Facilitate the strategic management of stakeholders in a collaborative approach and foster productive relationships.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience or knowledge or Understanding of Transport and Urban Planning
- Experience or knowledge or understanding of Traffic Engineering principles & practices
- Investigation, analysis, and problem-solving
- Sound skill, knowledge, and experience in the use of computer tools, including systems and technical data for analysis
- Engineering background and knowledge of Road Design & Road Safety
- A diploma in Engineering, or Computer Systems, or other relevant discipline
