Your new company

Specialised interiors firm, delivering high-spec fitout projects across health, education, pharmaceutical projects up to $25m throughout Melbourne. Well-resourced projects and teams, close-knit staff and a strongly upheld culture from office to site.

This is a newly created role for the business looking to bring in a dedicated Planner/Programmer to oversee project health throughout the full lifecycle.

Your new role

  • Project Planning and Scheduling:
    - Develop and manage detailed project plans and schedules.
    - Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment on objectives and timelines.

  • Resource Management:
    - Allocate and optimise resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
    - Collaborate with procurement teams for material sourcing.

  • Budget Management:
    - Prepare and manage project budgets.
    - Track expenses and implement cost-saving measures.

  • Risk Management:
    - Identify and mitigate potential risks.
    - Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure compliance with regulations.

  • Stakeholder Communication:
    - Maintain clear communication with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
    - Provide regular project updates and facilitate meetings.

  • Quality Assurance:
    - Implement quality control measures and conduct inspections.
    - Address quality issues promptly.

  • Documentation and Reporting:
    - Maintain comprehensive project documentation.
    - Prepare detailed progress reports for stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in project planning and management within commercial construction (fitout/interiors ideal, new build suitable)
  • Strong understanding of health, education, and pharmaceutical project requirements.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
