Join a leading statutory authority protecting Victoria’s environment. As a Permissioning Officer, you will manage a portfolio of EPA applications, delivering timely, high-quality assessments in line with the Environment Protection Act 2017 and organisational priorities.
You’ll play a key role in supporting licensing decisions, improving processes, and strengthening regulatory outcomes.

Your new role

  • Manage multiple permissioning applications (permits, licences, registrations) to tight deadlines
  • Assess applications, prepare reports, and provide clear recommendations
  • Apply project management principles (planning, risk, prioritisation, tracking)
  • Escalate and manage complex cases with internal experts
  • Support licence review programs and regulatory projects
  • Drive process, policy, and system improvements
  • Collaborate across teams (Science, Legal, Operations)
  • Engage professionally with industry, government, and community stakeholders

What you'll need to succeed

  • Degree in environmental science or related field
  • Strong project management experience in regulatory or environmental settings
  • Experience in permissioning or government roles (preferred)
  • Solid knowledge of the Environment Protection Act 2017
  • Ability to assess complex information and apply legislation
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
