Your new role
This opportunity offers a hands-on and varied role where you will be actively engaged across site, workshop and office environments. In this role, you will:
- Coordinate and maintain Health and Safety systems, policies and procedures
- Conduct workplace inspections, audits and risk assessments to support compliance
- Lead incident reporting, investigations and follow-up actions
- Maintain safety registers including hazards, incidents, risk and SDS
- Deliver toolbox talks and support safety training initiatives
- Assist with Return to Work (RTW) and injury management processes
- Maintain a visible and active presence across operations, engaging with employees
- Promote a proactive and practical safety culture
In addition, you will support broader HR functions, including:
- Coordinating recruitment and onboarding processes
- Maintaining accurate employee records and HR documentation
- Supporting performance review and development processes
- Coordinating training and maintaining compliance records
- Assisting with workforce reporting and HR administration
You will also contribute to compliance and systems by:
- Ensuring documentation is controlled, accurate and audit-ready
- Supporting internal and external audits
- Tracking and following up corrective actions
You will play an important role in supporting both people and safety outcomes, improving systems and contributing to a high-performing, team-focused environment.
What you'll need to succeed
This role is suited to a hands-on Coordinator who enjoys working across both safety and workforce functions in an operational setting.
We’re looking for someone who offers:
- 2–4 years’ experience in a People and Safety or similar role
- Certificate IV or Diploma in WHS, HR or related discipline
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- High attention to detail with a strong compliance focus
- Practical, solutions-focused approach
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Highly regarded:
- Return to Work (RTW) Coordinator certification
- Experience with ISO systems or integrated management systems (IMS)
- Experience with SharePoint or similar systems
- Exposure to heavy industry requirements such as medicals and site-based compliance
