We’re partnering with a well-established organisation in the education sector to recruit a People & Culture Advisor to join a collaborative and high‑performing P&C team.
This role offers exposure across the full employee lifecycle, with a genuine opportunity to develop strong advisory capability while working closely with leaders and stakeholders in a complex, fast‑paced environment.
This role is full time in the office with a salary up to $105k plus super.
Your new role
Reporting into a senior People & Culture leadership team, you will provide end‑to‑end generalist HR support across a diverse workforce. The role balances operational delivery with advisory support, making it ideal for someone looking to step up or consolidate at Advisor level.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing advice and support to leaders on employee relations matters, including performance management, grievances and workplace issues
Supporting end‑to‑end recruitment activities, including advertising, shortlisting, interviews, reference checking and onboarding
Managing employment lifecycle changes (e.g. full‑time to part‑time, casual to fixed‑term, internal movements)
Interpreting awards, policies and industrial instruments in a complex environment
Maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems data
Contributing to HR projects, policy updates and continuous improvement initiatives
Experience with Experience with Go1 and UKG would be preferrable
Acting as a trusted P&C partner who balances risk, compliance and practical outcomes
What you'll need to succeed
We’re keen to speak with candidates who have:
Around 3+ years’ experience in a generalist People & Culture / HR role
Exposure to employee relations and stakeholder coaching
Working knowledge of Australian employment legislation and awards
Experience supporting recruitment and employment lifecycle activities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail in a fast‑moving, high‑volume environment
Confidence using HR
Experience within education, health, not‑for‑profit or similarly regulated environments will be highly regarded, though not essential.
