A well-established organisation within a complex service environment is seeking a Payroll Officer to join their corporate support team on a fixed‑term basis.
Your new role
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely payroll services while supporting internal stakeholders across the business.
Your responsibilities will include:
Processing payroll activities accurately and to deadlines
Managing payroll changes across the employee lifecycle, including commencements and exits
Responding to payroll enquiries and resolving discrepancies efficiently
Supporting payroll audits, checks, and compliance activities
Assisting with payroll reconciliations and reporting as required
Maintaining accurate payroll records and documentation
Working closely with colleagues to ensure a high standard of service delivery
What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
Experience in an end‑to‑end payroll position
Sound understanding of Australian payroll legislation, tax, and superannuation
Confidence interpreting awards and employment conditions
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines
Well-developed communication skills and a customer-centric approach
Strong Excel skills and experience using payroll systems
What you’ll get in return
