Our client is looking out for a Payroll Officer to join the team after a recent promotion! Centrally located, their organisation is established and well-structured, making it well suited to someone who enjoys accuracy, routine and being part of a team that shares the workload when deadlines hit.
Your new role
Supporting end‑to‑end payroll processing for a monthly payroll of approximately 70 employees
Maintaining and updating employee payroll records, including leave, allowances and deductions
Interpreting awards and employment conditions
Managing time and attendance data and responding to payroll queries
Preparing payroll reports, reconciliations and journals
Assisting with statutory payroll requirements and compliance
Providing additional support across accounts receivable and payable during busy periods
Liaising with internal stakeholders and supporting financial queries when required
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience in a payroll position (end‑to‑end or supporting)
Strong understanding of payroll cycles, time sheets and leave processing
Award interpretation experience
High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
A calm, professional approach to managing queries and deadlines
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
Intermediate Microsoft Excel and MS Office skills
