Your new role

As a Payroll Officer, you will play a hands‑on role in delivering accurate and timely payroll services across a national workforce. You will be responsible for end‑to‑end processing of weekly and fortnightly payrolls, supporting labour hire employees, and managing complex award interpretation.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • End‑to‑end processing of weekly and fortnightly payrolls
  • Payroll audits, reconciliations, and compliance checks
  • Award and agreement interpretation, including pay variations
  • New starter onboarding and maintenance of employee data
  • Processing superannuation, leave, overpayments, and payroll adjustments
  • Administering WorkCover reimbursements and statutory reporting
  • Providing payroll support to labour hire employees nationally
  • Responding to payroll queries accurately and professionally
  • Identifying opportunities to improve payroll processes

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you’ll have at least two years’ payroll experience and a strong working knowledge of payroll legislation, taxation, superannuation, and award interpretation. You’ll bring a high level of attention to detail, confidence working in high‑volume environments, and solid Excel skills.
You’ll be comfortable working across multiple payroll and HR systems, able to meet deadlines, and proactive in how you approach your work. Strong communication skills, integrity, discretion, and a service‑focused mindset are essential.
