This Australian-based company who are a key player in their industry has an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Officer to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. With a strong presence across the country, this service-based company is currently in an exciting growth phase and is seeking additional member to join their expanding team. This role will be based in their Brisbane City Fringe offices and they offer a few days WFH per week after 3 months.
Your new role
Reporting to the Payroll Team Leader, you will be responsible for the following:
- Employee file maintenance
- Preparing and processing fortnightly payroll
- EBA / Award interpretation
- Processing terminations and redundancies
- Assisting with payroll reconciliations and reporting
- Supporting process improvement and continuous improvements
- Liaising with various key internal stakeholders
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will meet the following requirements:
- Previous experience in payroll focused roles, within a medium to larger sized environment
- Knowledge of payroll legislation
- Ability to prioritise your workload
- Enjoys working in a collaborative team environment
- Exceptional communication skills and natural ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders
