Payroll Officer role | Fortitude Valley location | $70,000 - $75,000 + Super

Your new company

This Brisbane-based company that operates across the country delivers a range of services in their niche sector. They are currently seeking a Payroll Officer to join their small payroll team on a full-time permanent basis. Their offices are based in Brisbane Fortitude Valley which offers excellent public transport options and lunchtime dining spots.

Your new role

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
  • Setting up new employees on the payroll systems
  • Fortnightly payroll processing
  • Performing payroll reconciliations
  • Liaising with employees regarding payroll queries
  • Assisting with terminations, allowances, and redundancies
  • Assisting with payroll reporting

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful, you will meet the following requirements:
  • Previous experience working in an end-to-end payroll position in a medium to high volume payroll environment
  • Strong award and EBA knowledge
  • Enjoys working in a collaborative small payroll team environment
  • Exceptional communication skills and natural ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders
