Payroll Manager

Payroll Manager job for a financial service company based in Melbourne

Your new company

This interim Payroll Manager position will be hybrid working for an initial 4-month period with a review period for potential extension.

Your new role

• Successfully manage the team.
• Successfully embed the outsourced Payroll model and assist in further efficiency in the outsourced model.
• Act as key point of contact and build strong working relationships with our outsourced payroll provider.
• Troubleshoot and respond to employee payroll queries in a timely manner, ensuring the employee experience is front of mind
• Provide high-quality operational payroll services and advice to business stakeholders e.g. People Partners, to support decision-making relating to payroll
• Support the delivery of projects and initiatives that are designed to enhance the employee and leader experience relating to payroll
• Support the development/review and implementation of frameworks, policies, guidelines, tools, templates, processes and reports to improve payroll efficiency
• Prepare other data, reports and analytics as required
• Work closely with People Operations to ensure data accuracy in Workday and continuously improve the integrity of payroll-related data
• Manage the integration of data across multiple HR platforms

What you'll need to succeed

• Immediately available to start
• Previous experience within (preferably managed) outsourced or partially outsourced payroll models.
• Experience with Workday or similar systems
• iChris or Chris 21 experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Strong relationship management and communication skills, with the ability to lead internal teams and engage effectively with external stakeholders.
