Your new company
This leading Australian company that operates across a niche sector is seeking a Payroll Manager to join their growing finance team on a full-time permanent basis. The position will be based in their Fortitude Valley offices, which are located close to various lunchtime dining options and central to the Fortitude Valley train station.
Your new role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the following:
- Ensure the companies' weekly, fortnightly and monthly pays are processed correctly and on time.
- Manage the workflow for the payroll department
- Lead small payroll team
- Accurate award and employment agreement interpretation
- Preparing of balancing and reconciling payroll tax, PAYG tax, superannuation, workers compensation returns
- Assist with employee queries regarding payroll
- Assist with payroll system upgrades, creating payroll procedures and policies
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will meet the following requirements:
- Demonstrated Payroll experience at a senior level
- Experience working with multiple awards and EBA’s
- Prior experience working on time & attendance systems
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
