Join an expert engineering team in Paget, Mackay. Due to recent movements within the company, a payroll and accounts officer position has become available for immediate start. This role will see you take full ownership of the payroll and account functions.

What you'll need to succeed

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar accounts/payroll role

• Experience with Xero is essential

• Prior experience in the construction industry (highly regarded)

• Solid understanding of payroll legislation, awards, and compliance

• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

• Strong communication skills and a team player attitude

What you'll get in return

You'll take ownership of the day-to-day payroll and account functions, playing a vital role in supporting the financial operations of the business. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday – 38 hours per week. This will be a 6-month casual contract through Hays, with the potential to transition permanent for the right person.
