Experienced Estate Administration Paralegal supporting end to end estate matters within a firm.

An opportunity is available for an experienced Estate Administration Paralegal to join a respected and professional legal practice. Working closely with lawyers and the broader support team, you will play a key role in the administration of estate matters, supporting files from commencement through to completion. This role suits a capable paralegal who enjoys client interaction, detailed file management and contributing to the smooth running of estate administration matters, with longer-term scope to grow in responsibility.

Your new role

You will be responsible for preparing and drafting estate administration documentation, managing files and correspondence, and acting as a central point of contact for estate-related enquiries. The role involves regular communication with executors and external stakeholders, including financial institutions and government bodies, as well as reviewing obituaries, opening estate files, preparing Notices of Intention and processing payment requests in line with internal policies. You will also assist with general legal administration, including document management, diary coordination, invoicing, time recording and ensuring confidentiality and compliance standards are consistently upheld.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful, you will have prior experience in a legal support or paralegal role and be comfortable managing multiple matters at once. Strong written communication skills, attention to detail and a professional approach to client interactions are essential. Experience in estate administration or succession law will be highly regarded, as will familiarity with LEAP or similar practice management systems. You will also need to be confident using Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel, and understand the importance of confidentiality and professional standards within a legal environment.
