Your new role
Day to day, you’ll be working with senior leaders to review how divisions and branches are set up and make sure their structures, roles and accountabilities align with the operating model. That means mapping current and future responsibilities, designing structure options, and producing clear organisation charts. You’ll also work on role descriptions; help resolve any cross-division issues and keep everything moving to meet project timelines. It’s a mix of analysis, stakeholder engagement and producing practical design outputs that can be implemented smoothly. The role requires strong skills in organisation design, analysing workforce data, and creating clear structure charts and role descriptions. You’ll need to align designs to the operating model and financial targets, run workshops or reviews with leaders, and work closely with stakeholders to keep things consistent and on track. It’s about turning complex organisational needs into practical, workable solutions.
The team is led by the Enterprise Transformation Executive. Reporting to this role are a dedicated Communications team, a People & Change Enablement team, and Design Leads, each of whom has a group of Organisational Designers reporting to them.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- You’ll need solid experience leading large-scale workplace redesign or transformation projects, ideally in a unionised environment.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to simplify complex information are key, along with high-level writing and editing experience.
- Building trusted relationships with executives is essential.
- A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience is required, and 5–7 years in organisational design and change or transformation roles is typical.
What you'll get in return
A 6-Month contract role with a daily rate of $1000-$1150. You will work in a flexible hybrid role 1–2 days a week in the office.
