Operations Manager

Lead distillation and bottling operations in a hands-on management role.

Your new company

An established and growing distillation facility located in regional Queensland is seeking a skilled and motivated Operations Manager to lead its production and bottling operations. This is a hands-on leadership role in a dynamic environment, offering the opportunity to oversee a diverse range of responsibilities including distillation, packaging, site maintenance, logistics, and safety systems.

Your new role

As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the distillery and water bottling line. You’ll lead a small team, manage production schedules, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and coordinate logistics and site maintenance. Your role will also include customer liaison, environmental site management, and continuous improvement initiatives. Reporting directly to the Head of Production, you’ll be instrumental in driving operational excellence and team performance.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • Prior experience in distilling, FMCG, or manufacturing.
  • Qualifications or equivalent experience in Management, Engineering, Food Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of OHS systems, HACCP, GMP, and WHS standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail, record-keeping, and SOP compliance.
  • A hands-on approach with mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven leadership and team-building capabilities.
  • Solid communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain); MR licence advantageous.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours during peak periods.
