Your new role

As the Operations Manager, your focus will be on the day to day operational leadership across people, project delivery, budget performance, development and mentoring tasks of employees within a small business unit. This diverse role, which encompasses a high level of project management, engineering, financial and people leadership responsibility, build and further grow its project management and engineering capability. Reporting directly to the GM, this position is not to be missed.

• Leadership and mentoring within the team
• Strategic and operational objectives
• Participate in growth strategies through bids, investments and acquisitions
• Manage and oversee integral relationships and be a key interface with external partners

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven leadership experience managing engineering programs, preferably with aerospace or land systems experience.
• Experience working in a project engineering environment and understanding of project management methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience managing Australian Defence projects and contracts. Understanding of ASDEFCON contract framework.
• Knowledge of Defence Security responsibilities (ITAR, DISP, COMSEC, etc)
• Bachelor or Postgraduate Degree
• Australian Citizen, eligible for Defence Clearance
• Relevant Accreditations/Certifications/Memberships
