Are you an experienced operational leader with a background in aged care, community services, or health? This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading community-focused organisation and drive operational excellence across ageing programs while championing quality, accreditation, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Working within the Community Programs Division, you will play a key leadership role supporting inclusive, affirming, and culturally responsive services that improve health and wellbeing outcomes for LGBTQ+ communities across New South Wales. You will also support significant strategic projects and ensure services continue to meet the highest standards of quality and care.
Your new role
As the Operations Manager, you will lead the operational delivery of ageing programs, including home-based care services, while partnering with leaders across the organisation to strengthen quality systems, support accreditation requirements, and deliver key operational projects.
This would be a temporary position with the potential to go permanent.
Your responsibilities will include:
Overseeing the day-to-day delivery of ageing programs, including home-based care services
Supporting Team Leaders and staff to ensure services are safe, responsive and person-centred
Ensuring programs align with organisational policies, practice standards and funding requirements
Partnering with the Relocation Project Manager to plan and coordinate a major office relocation
Providing practical operational support and problem-solving throughout organisational transitions
Leading the preparation and coordination of accreditation processes, including QIP/QIC frameworks
Developing, implementing and maintaining Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs)
Coordinating audits, evidence collection and accreditation documentation
Working collaboratively with teams to embed quality standards into everyday practice
Monitoring compliance risks, identifying gaps and implementing corrective actions
- Championing workplace health and safety initiatives and fostering a strong safety culture across programs
What you'll need to succeed
A strong understanding of and commitment to LGBTQ+ communities, older people and people living with HIV
Minimum two years' experience in a senior leadership role overseeing multiple programs across diverse locations
Proven experience building team capability, leading through change and fostering positive workplace culture
Experience preparing for and managing accreditation processes, including QIP, QIC or similar quality frameworks
Demonstrated experience overseeing home-based care services, including assessments, home visits and client information systems
Strong operational leadership experience within aged care, home care, community services or healthcare environments
Exceptional organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high-quality service delivery outcomes
