Your new role
As Operations Manager (Electrical), you will lead the end-to-end delivery of complex electrical projects, overseeing design, procurement, installation, commissioning, and handover. You’ll provide technical leadership across HV/LV systems, MSBs, generators, and UPS systems, while managing multidisciplinary teams and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key responsibilities include:
• Managing electrical projects from concept through to client handover
• Developing project programs, budgets, and resource plans
• Leading technical reviews and problem-solving across HV/LV systems
• Acting as the primary client contact and chairing progress meetings
• Ensuring compliance with WHS legislation and QA/QC processes
• Overseeing financial performance, variations, and subcontractor claims
• Supporting staff development and team engagement
What you'll need to succeed
• Electrical trade qualification and/or Electrical Engineering degree
• 10+ years’ experience in electrical project management within mission-critical environments
• Strong technical knowledge of HV/LV systems, MSBs, generators, and UPS systems
• Proven experience delivering D&C projects from design to commissioning
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Commercial acumen with experience in cost control and contract administration
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and design documentation
• Familiarity with Australian Standards, NCC, and AS4902 contracts (desirable)
• Project Management accreditation (PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus
