Your new role
This Office Manager role is based in Sydney CBD. The role is responsible for the smooth, safe and professional day-to-day running of the office, while also supporting premises‑related activities across Melbourne and Canberra. You’ll take ownership of office operations and be a key point of contact for staff, executives, visitors and contractors. This is a hands-on, high-profile role suited to someone who enjoys variety, responsibility and helping shape how an office operates in a developing environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing daily operations of the office.
- Coordinating maintenance, cleaning and building services
- Working closely with building management and concierge
- Managing office supplies, equipment and kitchen upkeep
- Supporting workspace planning, seating logistics and onboarding
- Organising office events, panel days and board meeting logistics
- Setting up executive meetings and arranging catering
- Managing office security, access passes and visitor processes
- Supporting WHS compliance, emergency procedures and reporting
- Overseeing office‑related procurement and contract management
- Maintaining premises records, leases and service agreements
What you'll need to succeed
This role would suit someone who is confident running an office end‑to‑end and comfortable stepping into a developing environment where processes continue to evolve.
You will bring:
- Around 3+ years’ experience in office management, facilities or a similar role
- Strong understanding of office operations, security and facilities management
- Experience managing contractors and service providers
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- A proactive, solutions‑focused approach
- Professional communication skills and discretion with sensitive matters
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience in government or public sector environments
- Knowledge of WHS and building compliance requirements
What you'll get in return
- $65 per hour + superannuation
- Sydney CBD location at Martin Place
- Labour hire contract until 30 June 2026
- Opportunity for the role to be considered for ongoing funding (not guaranteed due to budgets)
- Full time in the office – may have the opportunity to wfh 1 day a week.
