Your new role

  • Promote continuous improvement in hygiene and safety practices.
  • Collaborate across departments to integrate hygiene and safety into business processes.
  • Conduct risk assessments and monitor occupational hygiene exposures.
  • Develop and maintain hygiene management systems and documentation.
  • Support employee health strategies and safety meetings.
  • Communicate hygiene and safety updates effectively across the workforce.
  • Participate in internal audits and ensure compliance with relevant standards and legislation.
  • Maintain accurate records of hygiene monitoring and equipment.
  • Support permit-to-work systems and shutdown hygiene monitoring.
  • Contribute to safety and environmental management plans.
  • Facilitate hygiene risk management and lead investigations.
  • Align hygiene initiatives with business objectives.
  • Promote a strong hygiene and safety culture through visibility, education, and communication.
  • Challenge unsafe behaviours and support team development.

    What you'll need to succeed
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in an Occupational Hygiene role
  • Previous experience in a heavy industrial operation, preferably in Chemical, Oil/Gas, or a Major Hazard Facility
  • Proficient in Cority for database management and reporting
  • Certified Noise and Ventilation Officer
  • Certified Mine Air Quality Office
  • Membership with the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists (AIOH)
  • Knowledge of state and national hygiene and safety legislation and regulations.
  • Ability to understand and adopt WesCEF procedures and processes in a timely manner.
