Your new role
As a Network Security Administrator, you will oversee and maintain Council’s network infrastructure and virtual server environment, including procurement, upgrades, and day-to-day operations of servers, SANs, firewalls, routers, switches, and related equipment.
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve network and connectivity issues to minimise impact on business operations.
- Manage Council’s IT hardware and software, including installation, configuration, and support for devices such as computers, phones, printers, scanners, and modems.
- Safeguard the integrity and security of Council’s data, ensuring reliable backup and recovery processes for corporate systems and networks.
- Administer user access, account permissions, and controls across network and cloud-based systems.
- Monitor system performance and conduct network analysis to optimise speed, reliability, and availability.
- Provide technical support and guidance to IT team members, including helpdesk
