Your new role
As a Motor Assessor, you will play a key role in accurately assessing vehicle damage and determining safe, cost-effective repair methods. You’ll balance delivering the best possible outcome for customers with maintaining commercial integrity for the business.
Key responsibilities include:
Carrying out accurate vehicle damage assessments to establish appropriate repair methods
Providing a high standard of customer service, both over the phone and face-to-face
Ensuring all assessments align with underwriting guidelines, policy conditions and claims procedures
Preparing detailed reports and negotiating repair scopes and costs with repairers
Managing rectifications in line with the Industry Code of Conduct and supporting cost recovery processes
Working closely with a state-based team to resolve complex repair scenarios
Supporting efficient repair turnaround times to enhance customer satisfaction
Conducting assessments across multiple channels, including digital and in-person formats
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:
Experience within the motor body repair industry, and a certificate in panel beating or spray-painting.
Strong customer service skills and the ability to build rapport with a wide range of stakeholders
An understanding of insurance policies and claims processes (either through direct claims experience or broader insurance exposure)
A valid Victorian driving licence.
The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a larger team environment
