Your new role
This role is responsible for accurately assessing the damage/loss incurred by customers, and then determining the appropriate cost and safe repair methods whilst balancing the best customer outcome with the needs of the business.
- Conduct accurate assessments of vehicle damage to determine safe, cost-effective repair methods.
- Deliver exceptional customer service both over the phone and in person.
- Ensure all assessments align with underwriting terms, conditions, and claims protocols.
- Prepare detailed assessment reports and negotiate repair scopes and costs with repairers.
- Manage rectifications in line with the Industry Code of Conduct and support cost recovery processes.
- Collaborate with a state-based team of assessors to resolve complex repair issues.
- Drive efficient repair turnaround times to enhance customer satisfaction and advocacy.
- Perform assessments across multiple channels, including digital and in-person formats.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered for this role, you will have:
- Experience within the motor body repair industry, such as proven experience as an auto mechanic, panel beater, spray painter etc.
- Good customer service capabilities and being able to build rapport with clients and customers.
- Knowledge of insurance policies and the insurance claims procedure, such as from working within insurance claims or a broader insurance role.
- A valid driving licence (Vic).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a large assessing team.
