You will be working for a high-performing and expanding iron ore business that represents the next generation of integrated iron ore mine, rail, and port operations in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. This positions is to back fill leave coverage.

Your new role

As an experienced Metallurgist, you will be responsible for improving the metallurgical, quality, and operational performance of the processing plant and provide technical support to the operations and maintenance teams. Additionally, you will develop an increased metallurgical understanding of current plant and optimisation opportunities to enhance reserve value and future resources.

What you'll need to succeed

• Tertiary qualifications in Process Engineering or Extractive Metallurgy
• Previous experience in mining or mineral processing operations
• Current manual drivers' licence
• Strong safety focus
• Excellent leadership, team building communication and presentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage a production facility, delivering production and projects on time and on budget
• Previous experience of train loading, desands (cyclones, up current classifiers, spirals)
• Sound understanding or control logic/PLC
• Advanced Excel skills
