An established gold mining operation in Western Australia is seeking an experienced Metallurgical Superintendent to lead site‑based processing and metallurgy functions. This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring safe, efficient and compliant plant performance while driving continuous improvement across metallurgical processes.
Reporting to the Processing Director, you will oversee all metallurgical and laboratory activities on site, providing technical direction to ensure optimal gold recovery, plant availability and cost control.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and developing the site metallurgical and laboratory teams
Managing metallurgical performance across crushing, milling, CIL/CIP and gold recovery circuits
Monitoring plant KPIs and implementing improvement initiatives to maximise recovery and throughput
Providing technical support to operations, maintenance and planning teams
Ensuring compliance with statutory, environmental and safety requirements
Analysing metallurgical data, test work and plant performance trends
Contributing to budget preparation, cost management and reporting
Supporting continuous improvement and improvement projects across the processing plant
