They are seeking a highly skilled Fitter & Turner to support their team both on-site and in their Hallam workshop.
Your new role
As a Fitter & Turner, you will play a critical role in maintaining and servicing industrial equipment, both on-site and in the workshop.
Pump maintenance & repair
Dismantling, inspecting, repairing, and reassembling mechanical components
Basic welding & fabrication – ensuring precision and quality in all repairs
Machining & fitting components – working with steel, aluminium, and specialised materials
Using hand & power tools to perform precision mechanical work
Diagnosing faults and troubleshooting mechanical issues effectively
Interpreting technical drawings and working to exact specifications
Working collaboratively within a team and independently when required
Providing on-site support – assisting clients with maintenance and repair needs
What you'll need to succeed
Trade Qualification – Cert III in Engineering (Mechanical/Fitter & Turner)
A minimum of 4 years of industry experience as a Fitter & Turner
Basic welding & fabrication experience
Forklift licence – preferred, but not essential
Strong mechanical aptitude – ability to diagnose faults & perform precise repairs
Ability to interpret technical drawings & perform accurate machining
Commitment to safety & quality standards
Excellent problem-solving & troubleshooting skills
