Our client is a Phosphate Rock Project, located south of Mount Isa in Queensland. Your New Role
As a Mechanical Fitter, you’ll play a central role in supporting our production operations, reporting directly to the Maintenance or Processing Superintendent or Plant Supervisors. You’ll ensure the smooth, efficient running of our Phosphate Wash Plant and Crushing Circuit, working an 8/6 roster with 12-hour shifts FIFO out of Townsville, Brisbane or DIDO Mount Isa. Key responsibilities include:

• Operate and maintain the Phosphate Wash Plant to maximise production output and product quality, following direction from Supervisors and Superintendents
• Champion a safe work environment—identify, report, and act on hazards while complying with our Health, Safety, and Environment Management System
• Carry out roving duties to assess plant performance and make real-time adjustments to keep things running smoothly
• Respond swiftly to breakdowns with efficient maintenance and repair solutions
• Execute planned maintenance tasks and operational inspections to ensure plant readiness
• Maintain critical plant equipment during scheduled servicing windows
• Operate auxiliary systems connected to the wash and crushing plants as needed
• Handle Mobile Plant operations supporting the crushing circuit and wash plant functions

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Experience in the Operation and Maintenance of a processing plant including but not limited to- Impact crushers, Vibrating Screens, Conveyors and Pumps
• Experience and comfortable Working in Remote Locations
• Experienced with FIFO rosters
• Must possess a recognised relevant trade qualification. (Boilermaker/Mechanical Fitter
• Manual Driver's license Essential
• Ability to pass a mine site medical
