Your new role
As a Mechanical Fitter – Hydraulics , you will play a vital role in maintaining and supporting essential dock operations. Reporting to the Mechanical Lead, you’ll work across diverse environments including workshops, service ducts, valve pits, seawater chambers, the pumphouse facility, and upper and lower galleries servicing the dock.
Your responsibilities will include:
Performing preventative and minor corrective maintenance using computerised systems.
Assisting with fault identification and reporting.
Supporting dock operations during docking and undocking.
Collaborating on continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensuring compliance with Work Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
Working in confined spaces, at heights, and occasionally in underground areas.
What you'll need to succeed
Mechanical trade qualification or equivalent.
Certificate IV or proven experience in hydraulics.
Strong background in facilities or equipment maintenance.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and troubleshoot faults.
General machining and welding experience.
Desirable tickets: confined space, forklift, working at heights, EWP, first aid
