Your new role
As a Marine Administration Officer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the operational delivery of boating and mooring services. You’ll be the first point of contact for customers, providing accurate advice and processing applications in line with legislative requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering exceptional customer service via front counter, phone, and email
- Managing mooring site applications, renewals, cancellations, and waitlists
- Maintaining and updating marine databases and registers
- Processing financial transactions and daily banking
- Preparing reports, correspondence, and maintaining accurate records
- Supporting commercial vessel account management
- Assisting with system improvements and casual staff training
- Contributing to team projects and continuous improvement initiatives
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong administrative skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Experience working with databases and financial systems
- Ability to interpret and apply legislation, policies, and procedures
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to support team goals
- Previous experience in marine, government, or regulatory environments (desirable)
