Manager, Risk Advisory & Assurance

With an established reputation for delivering risk, governance and assurance solutions to major organisations, they are expanding their Melbourne team and are seeking an experienced risk professional to support increasing client demand.

This is an opportunity to join a growing practice working across operational risk, enterprise risk management, controls assurance and framework design projects for some of Australia's most recognised organisations.

Your new role
As a Manager or Senior Manager, you will work directly with clients to strengthen risk and control environments, review and enhance risk frameworks, and deliver practical solutions to complex business challenges.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Leading operational risk, enterprise risk and controls assurance engagements
  • Reviewing and designing risk management frameworks and governance structures
  • Conducting control design and operating effectiveness assessments
  • Facilitating risk assessments and supporting risk transformation initiatives
  • Building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and executive teams
  • Providing risk advisory services and practical recommendations to clients
  • Managing multiple engagements and ensuring successful project delivery
  • Supporting business development activities and identifying opportunities within existing client accounts
  • Working closely with clients to understand their business objectives and risk management needs

What you'll need to succeed
  • Experience in Risk Advisory, Enterprise Risk, Operational Risk or Controls Assurance
  • Exposure to risk framework design, framework reviews or enterprise risk management
  • Strong understanding of operational and non-financial risk
  • Experience performing control testing, controls assurance or risk assessments
  • Consulting experience from a professional services environment or a large, complex organisation.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
  • The ability to manage client relationships and deliver high-quality outcomes
  • Financial services, insurance, banking or broader regulated industry experience will be highly regarded.
