Your new company

This organisation is a well-established operation undergoing a period of growth and continuous improvement. With a strong focus on operational efficiency, sustainability, and long-term planning, the business offers a supportive and professional environment where finance plays a key role in strategic decision-making.

Your new role

Reporting to a senior finance leader, the Management Accountant will be responsible for providing high-quality financial analysis, reporting, and insights to support operational and strategic objectives. This role works closely with operational and corporate stakeholders to drive cost control, budgeting accuracy, and informed decision-making.

  • Prepare and deliver monthly management reporting, including analysis of variances against budget and forecast
  • Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning activities
  • Provide financial and commercial advice to operational leaders to support business improvement initiatives
  • Conduct cost analysis, unit cost tracking, and investigation of variances
  • Develop and maintain financial models, reporting tools, and dashboards for stakeholders.
  • Support capital expenditure reporting, including tracking of spend, progress, and completion
  • Contribute to business cases, tenders, and ad hoc financial analysis as required
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate cost allocation and financial data integrity

What you'll need to succeed

You will bring proven experience in management accounting or a similar commercial finance role, supported by a degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline and a CA or CPA qualification (or progress towards). You are highly analytical with strong attention to detail and have demonstrated capability across budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and cost analysis. You are confident working with financial systems and ERP environments, with advanced Excel skills to support data analysis and reporting. Strong written and verbal communication skills enable you to effectively partner with both finance and non‑finance stakeholders, while your organisational skills allow you to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of integrity when handling confidential information.

What you'll get in return

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of key management accounting activities within a dynamic and evolving organisation. You will enjoy autonomy, exposure to senior stakeholders, and the chance to make a meaningful impact on business performance, supported by a competitive salary package and a positive team culture.
