Management Accountant

Seeking an experienced Accountant to join a small team on a short-term contract within a thriving business.
Senior Accountant
Your New Company
Join a well-established construction company based in Canberra. This organisation is known for its strong project delivery and collaborative team culture. Due to internal changes, they are seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to support their finance function.
Your New Role
Reporting directly to the General Manager and working closely with the Group Accountant, you will be responsible for a broad range of accounting and management reporting tasks. This is an office-based role.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Monthly P&L and balance sheet reporting
  • Aged debtor and creditor reporting
  • Corporate budgeting and project reporting
  • Cash flow updates and senior management meeting reports
  • Creditor payments and debtor invoicing
  • Payroll tax lodgements and internal cost allocations
What You'll Need to Succeed
  • Degree qualified and eligible for membership with a recognised accounting body
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Management Accountant role
  • Proficiency in MYOB and strong IT skills
  • Excellent written communication and time management abilities
  • Ability to work independently and meet monthly deadlines
  • Experience in construction or related industries is highly desirable
