Your new role
- Develop and maintain detailed shutdown schedules using MS Project or Primavera P6
- Coordinate with maintenance, operations, procurement, and contractors to align scope and timing
- Plan and allocate manpower, equipment, and materials to optimise resource use.
- Identify risks, monitor critical path activities, and implement mitigation strategies
- Track progress against baseline schedules and prepare daily/weekly reports
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory requirements, and company policies
- Conduct post-shutdown reviews and implement lessons learnt for future improvements
What you'll need to succeed
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintenance planning or scheduling within mining, oil & gas, or heavy industry
- Proven experience managing major shutdowns or turnarounds
- Proficiency in scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project)
- Strong understanding of maintenance processes and asset management
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and commitment to safety
