Your new role
- Develop detailed engineering plans aligned with shutdown schedules and scope
- Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and contractors to confirm technical requirements
- Manage procurement of critical materials and ensure timely delivery
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory regulations, and company policies
- Provide technical support during execution and resolve engineering issues promptly.
- Conduct post-shutdown reviews to capture lessons learnt and recommend improvements
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree in Mechanical, Structural, or related Engineering discipline
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in project engineering within mining, oil & gas, or heavy industry
- Proven experience in major shutdowns or turnarounds
- Strong knowledge of engineering standards, project management principles, and shutdown execution
- Proficiency in MS Project and engineering design tools
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure with attention to detail and technical accuracy
- Commitment to safety and continuous improvement
