Permanent position for a Maintenance Fitter to join the afternoon shift in Melbourne’s Northern Suburbs

Your new company

Our client is a global leader in recycling, recovery, and re-manufacturing of primary resources, and due to an increase in work, they require a qualified and experienced Maintenance Fitter to join their team working the afternoon shift.

Your new role

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on a variety of machinery and equipment.
  • Efficiently troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve mechanical issues.
  • Execute repairs and modifications to ensure optimal performance of machinery.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and contribute to the development of maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and uphold a clean, organised work environment

What you'll need to succeed

  • Relevant trade qualification
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Proficiency with hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Electrical disconnect / reconnect licence (advantageous)
