Our reputable federal client is seeking a highly qualified and experienced ICT Strategic Sourcing Advisor to support the delivery of its Future Compute sourcing program. This role is critical in shaping strategic sourcing initiatives and advising on complex ICT infrastructure environments.

Your new role

This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with deep expertise in mainframe, Unix (AIX/Solaris), and data storage environments, and a strong background in technical advisory for large-scale sourcing and transformation projects.

• Support the implementation of strategic sourcing strategies.
• Provide SME-level technical input on mainframe, Unix, and storage environments.
• Develop and document solution architectures and transition artefacts.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure program success.
• Deliver design reviews and architectural documentation.
• Provide high-level technical advice to senior executives.

What you'll need to succeed

• 10+ years of experience delivering technical advice for transformation, transition, and sourcing projects in large organisations.
• Proven expertise in IBM Mainframe, AIX/Solaris, and IBM data storage (disk and tape).
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage scope, gather technical requirements, and produce high-quality documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
