Your new company
Our client is a rapidly growing national organisation with operations across multiple locations in Australia. With a strong focus on quality, safety, and structured rebuild programs, they are expanding their Mackay operations to support increasing demand. Known for investing in their people, processes, and equipment, our client offers a professional and well-supported workshop environment where high-quality work is the standard.
Your new role
In this position, you will be responsible for carrying out full rebuilds of major CAT mining equipment in a structured workshop environment. Your day-to-day duties will include stripping down machines, assessing and fault finding, measuring and inspecting components, and completing repairs before reassembly to OEM standards. You will work within defined rebuild processes, ensuring a strong focus on quality, precision, and safety at all times. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in delivering high-standard rebuild work rather than patch or breakdown repairs.

Trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter or similar
Proven experience completing full machine rebuilds
Strong background working on CAT mining equipment
Forklift ticket (preferred)
High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Reliable, self-motivated, and safety-focused

What you'll get in return

You will gain exposure to large-scale mining equipment rebuilds including D10 and D11 dozers, graders, and haul trucks, while being part of a supportive and growing team. With ongoing national expansion, genuine career progression opportunities are available, along with optional overtime for those looking to increase their earnings. This is an opportunity to step into a structured rebuild environment where doing the job right is the priority.
